Product & General Information

What types of projection screens do you manufacture?

The Screen Works produces premium large-format projection screens for every application:

  • Front projection screens for crystal-clear images in controlled lighting
  • Rear projection screens for bright, sharp visuals in high-light environments
  • Double-sided projection surfaces for unique staging needs such as multiple viewing angles
  • Acoustically transparent projection screens that let sound pass through with minimal distortion — ideal for concerts, auditoriums, and houses of worship

All screens are made in the USA at our Chicago, IL facility.

How large can you make a projection screen?

We custom-build projection screens in virtually any size. Examples:

  • Common builds: over 20 feet high and 132+ feet wide (lace and grommet), 50 feet wide (truss frames) and 14 feet wide (single tube frame)
  • Perfect for stadiums, theaters, and convention halls
  • Engineered for structural stability without sag or bowing — even at extreme sizes
Do you make projection screens in custom shapes?

Yes. We can produce any shape or aspect ratio:

  • Triangles, circles, multi-panel designs, 3D frames — you name it
  • Standard 16:9 and 4:3 ratios or any custom ratio
  • Precision engineering ensures a perfectly flat surface for superior image quality
Do you make replacement projection screen surfaces for Da-Lite, Stumpfl, and Draper frames?

Absolutely. We guarantee a perfect fit for your existing Da-Lite, Stumpfl, Draper, or other major-brand frame.

  • Engineered for faster, easier installation than OEM surfaces
  • Designed for a flatter, smoother image than many competitor originals
  • Made in the USA with premium, longer-lasting materials
What makes your E-Z Fold® frames better than competing folding frames?

E-Z Fold® is the industry standard for mobile projection screens:

  • No tools required for assembly
  • Lightweight and portable for easy transport
  • High-strength aerospace aluminum resists bending and sagging
  • Compact wheeled cases for quick storage and protection

Unlike some Da-Lite, Stumpfl, and Draper folding frames, E-Z Fold® maintains alignment and tension even after years of use.

Will your screens sag or wrinkle over time?

No. The Screen Works uses:

Aerospace-grade aluminum frames
Reinforced corner joints
Premium tensioning systems

This means our screens stay taut and flat far longer than most competitor products, even after hundreds of setups.

Do you offer other frame types?

Yes:

  • Truss Frames – handle the heaviest and largest screens
  • Stager’s Choice® Frames – combine the strength of Truss frame with the portability of an E-Z Fold® frame
